Super Falcons defender Chidinma Okeke has joined Italian club Napoli Women on a permanent transfer and signed a two-year contract with the Serie A side.
The 26-year-old centre-back completed the move from Mexican club América Femenil to begin a new chapter in her professional career.
Okeke expressed her excitement after settling into her new surroundings, saying she had already met the coaching staff and her new teammates.
“I’m happy with my first few days here. I’ve met the coach, the staff and my teammates, and it’s been fantastic,” she told Napoli Women’s official website.
Speaking about her ambition for the season, the defender said she intends to give her best alongside her teammates.
“My goal for this season? To give my all together with the team,” she added.
Okeke began her professional career in Spain with Madrid CFF in 2019. She later had spells with Hapoel Be’er Sheva in Israel and Mynavi Sendai Ladies in Japan before moving to América Femenil in Mexico.
